Steve also trains clients on a limited basis when not managing the department. He enjoys breaking down all movements into their biomechanical principals and tailoring workout to an individual’s need and wants. Personal Trainer Kevin Blonde

Kevin Blonde, Hons.B.Sc, RMT

Kevin’s focus is directed mainly in the rehabilitation field. His experience in physio and massage therapy has provided a solid foundation to help individuals overcome a variety of injuries. He believes preventive maintenance through regular massage, combined with a personalized core training program is vital to fulfilling a healthier lifestyle. Kevin has an Honours Kinesiology Degree from the University of Waterloo, during his degree he worked in various physiotherapy clinics and hospitals. His background also includes experiences in office ergonomics and he holds a diploma in Massage Therapy from Mount Royal University.


Personal Trainer Shane Kups

Shane Kups, B.PAS Major Fitness and Lifestyle

Shane’s specialization is helping his clients stay focused on their fitness journey. He has worked with clients with short-term and longterm goals that include weight loss, strength gains, injury rehabilitation and nutritional shifts. His unique approach to variety in program design and extensive database of exercise keeps the variety in the workouts and the results on going.

He graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Physical Activity Studies majoring in Fitness and Lifestyle and has been developing quite the career since 2000. He started in the fitness industry working with the RCMP Training Academy and since then he received many awards for Personal Training, Group Exercise Instructing as well as working within the community educating children on fitness. Most recently Shane was the canfitpro Finalist for Fitness Professional of the Year (2009). His own athletic background is in martial arts (Hapkido); he has trained since the age of 15 including time spent in Korea training and competing. Whatever your fitness goals, he has fitness results and truly is inspired to see his clients achieve the fitness and lifestyle changes that he brings.


Personal Trainer Trevor Brewer

Trevor Brewer, M.A. PTS, Twist Conditioning Sport Specialist Level 1, Certified Life Coach/Lifestyle Counselor

Trevor is in his eighth year as a Personal Trainer/ Wellness Coach and has a client-centered, holistic approach that brings practical solutions for his client’s health needs. He has completed a Twist Sport Conditioning Specialist Level 1 certification (Sport Strength I & II, Movement Skills I & II, Balance for Sport) and is taking graduate level coursework to keep his training cutting-edge. Although, mentoring has been his key to gaining knowledge about fitness and learning from some of the best trainers in Canada has been integral for him. One of his special interests is teaching clients Ki-Hara self-stretching so that clients can become more flexible, stronger, and able to recover from injuries more quickly. He believes that overcoming injuries is very important as they can be obstacles to fitness and health. Trevor has had a variety of injuries that he has overcome through aligning himself with some of the best rehabilitation professionals in Canada.


Pesronal Trainer Luke Kosowan

Luke learned the importance of health and exercise early on, which lead him to pursue an education in human movement and physical activity. This soon evolved into a full time career educating others about the importance and benefits of physical activity in relation to health and wellness.

Luke’s mission as a trainer is to help his clients reach their full potential and to achieve lasting improvements in their fitness and health. In his approach, Luke combines functional training and multi-joint exercises with an emphasis on core strength, mobility, joint stability, flexibility, injury prevention and proper exercise mechanics to encourage the development of balanced strength, cardiovascular endurance and overall improved fitness. Luke has a strong background in rehabilitation, gained while working at various physiotherapy clinics in Calgary. Luke enjoys training a wide assortment of clients – from athletes looking to improve their performance to clients dealing with injuries to people looking to lose weight or simply improve their quality of life.

Erin completed a Bachelor of Kinesiology majoring in Exercise and Health Physiology at the University of Calgary. From her past experience as a competitive dancer and her current pursuits in powerlifting, posture, and core strength are very important in her training techniques. Erin’s work in a Cardiac Rehabilitation facility has provided her with experience in helping individuals who are looking to reduce their risk of heart disease and live full, healthy, active lives. She has a focus on posture, core strength, flexibility, mobility and heart health.


Personal Trainer Brandon Klotz

Within minutes of training with Brandon you will be ready to “work”. His enthusiastic and supportive approach will motivate you to push your own limits to be successful. It’s obvious that everything from his trademark stories to his infectious smile keeps his clients glowing as he takes them through their workouts. His patience and attitude will inspire you to work hard to achieve your goals. He will work with you to break down those barriers that have prevented you from being successful in the past and make you realize just how fun and rewarding fitness can be.

Brandon graduated from NAIT, and after working in Edmonton for five years at a sport-specific studio, he decided to take his talents around the world while working on cruise ships. For three years, Brandon operated and managed the fitness facilities onboard several ships. He believes that no matter what part of the world you are from fitness is a language that can bring challenge and change. Combined with a personable and fun approach to training, Brandon inspires individuals to achieve their fitness goals and feel comfortable in the gym.


Personal Trainer Ethan Klint

Ethan’s passion for the fitness industry started to grow while playing competitive soccer in his youth, and became even stronger after having two knee surgeries. Spending countless hours with athletic therapists and personal trainers, Ethan knows the commitment and dedication it takes to become mobile, healthy and able to perform at a level of fi tness once achieved. Ethan started his fitness career coaching youth soccer, as he wanted to make sure his team was strong, fit, and healthy and prevent injuries from occurring.

Ethan’s fitness career has been spent working with hockey teams, football players, soccer teams, and boot camps and he specializes in weight loss. Ethan strives to help his clients lose weight, increase mobility and decrease aches and pains throughout the body. The number one goal he wants every client to achieve is to live a healthy lifestyle and to believe in themselves.


Trainer Liana Sanche

Liana Sanche, BSc Kin, CSEP, CEP

Ever since Liana’s been old enough to run she has spent most of her free time playing sports, working out, playing outside, and just plain having fun being active. She has worked with athletes of all types and spent a number of years training various Varsity teams at the University of Saskatchewan. Whether it was the hockey, soccer, or basketball team, Liana focused on core strength/stability, endurance, and functional strength. She also enjoys training the general public and gets excited about helping someone lose those extra pounds, gear up for a race goal, or just plain get in shape for life.

Liana received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan and is also a Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP). She spent a few years training the general public at the U of S as well as training various U of S Huskie teams. Liana trained applicants who were preparing for the RCMP physical fitness test (PARE), and also trained those preparing for the Police physical fitness test (POPAT). Along with this training, she conducted both the PARE and POPAT tests. Liana really enjoys weight lifting, running, cycling, and spending time outdoors with her golden lab, Oslo — HER personal trainer!

Trainer Sarah McCulloch

There are no limitations to physical fitness when training with Sarah. She provides her clients with goal setting techniques, motivational tools and nutritional guidance for specific training requirements. Sarah can help with your needs whether they involve functional core conditioning, sport-specific training, weight loss, weight gain, hypertrophy or preventative maintenance.

She has trained triathletes from beginner to advanced with high success at reaching their goal time. Sarah pushed herself beyond her own comfort zone completing her first triathlon in 2009, so that she could understand what the sports related needs were.  She continues to challenge herself both physically and mentally in fitness model competitions, which involve dedication, high frequency training and a strict, healthy diet. Sarah has extensive knowledge in physiology, movement mechanics, and sports conditioning.


Personal Trainer Dave Samson

Dave’s style of training is founded on principles of proper technique and strength through range of motion; both to prevent injury and strengthen following injury.

Dave was involved in sport throughout his childhood and teen years, but at 14 he suffered a severe knee injury. The reconstructive surgery and physical therapy that followed inspired Dave to help others work through injuries and movement challenges. Whether you’ve sustained an injury or are just stiff and sore from office work, Dave can help you move more easily towards your fitness goals.

Dave has a BSc in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph and continually pursues further certifications in areas such as mobility and advanced anatomy. He uses all of his combined education and experience to design deliberate and strategic workouts that are personalized to the strengths, challenges, and goals of each individual client.


Personal Trainer Anita Winter

Expect the unexpected. When working with Antia you will be challenged to disregard one’s limited beliefs and pushed to your potential. As a previous competitor in Pole Vault, Antia has had the privilege of enhancing her knowledge of strength training, conditioning, agility, and nutrition.

Antia believes that Yoga is a journey and no path is the same. When working with her you will soon realize how tailored your practice will be. Her background in working with Alzheimer’s, ADHD, stress relief and learning disabilities has shown Antia how to develop positive outcomes by enhancing and encouraging individual strengths. Alignment and use of props are key to Antia’s teaching technique as well as facing your fears to try something new.

Personal Trainer Doug Critchley

Doug’s been participating and involved in sports his whole life and currently enjoys golfing, squash, and playing hockey a number times a week. It’s his desire to continue enjoying and participating in these and other activities associated with everyday living for many more years. Daily physical activity was one driver that pointed him to pursue a new career in the physical fitness industry.

With his past business experience, Doug has always enjoyed and excelled working with people in meeting and exceeding their goals through planning and accountability. It was through Doug’s involvement with Parkinson Disease & Parkinson Association of Alberta that he was exposed to some of their wellness programs in particular PWR-MOVES (Parkinson Wellness Recovery). PWR-MOVES was the final box ticked for him to make the career change. Through these wellness programs that Doug began to develop an understanding and deeper appreciation of the benefits of movement and exercise with chronic diseases as well as when we age.

Doug’s firm belief in the old adage “Move it or Lose it”. His desire is to coach and guide you to achieving your wellness goals focusing on exercise to help you move through the activities of daily life and continue to pursue those other activities you are passionate about whether it be sports, outdoor adventures, or just keeping up with the kids and/or grandkids.

Currently, Lance is a competitive street dancer who competes in local and national events in Canada. Being a former athlete and football coach, Lance sees the value of athleticism and competition but emphasizes the importance of being
physically fit.

Jacqueline established a great love of health and fitness while playing lacrosse in her adolescent years. In the off-season, she started putting work in at the gym and that drove her desire to learn more about the importance of physical activity. Her style of training embraces all aspects, including but not limited to: weight loss, mobility and functional movements, strength, powerlifting, and sports specific training.

When personal training with Jacqueline, you’ll find a brand new confidence in yourself and a new drive to accomplish your goals in and out of the gym. In her free time she likes to play lacrosse, hike, snowboard, and is now on her way to competing in powerlifting. She has a great deal of knowledge and experience to share with someone who is willing to put in the work and whom is ready to make the ideal life changes to better themselves.


Krystal Kitsul, Master Trainer – Australian Institute of Fitness, Personal Training Specialist (PTS) – CanFitPro, Certified Holistic Nutritionist (CHN) – Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN)

Krystal was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. She grew up an active child, playing several sports and danced in junior high. Krystal was awarded a full scholarship at Absolute Dance Inc. while in high school. She found her true passion in the expression of body and developed her skills to become an awarded competitive dancer. Krystal realized the mental, emotional, and physical benefits of movement through dance, which lead her into her 10 year career as a Personal Trainer.

Krystal went on to complete her Master Trainer Certification at the Australian Institute of Fitness in Sydney, Australia. She then completed her Certified Holistic Nutritionist designation at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. She combines her expertise in fitness and nutrition to provide balanced, effective, and sustainable results to her clients.

Krystal loves anything outdoors including snowboarding and skating in the winter months, and mountain biking, hiking, wake boarding and bootcamps in the warmer months. Krystal also enjoys yoga, kickboxing, gymnastics, and chocolate!!!
